Who We're Looking For
Qualification Criteria
Selection is merit-based, transparent, and conducted entirely independently of school faculty. Here are the four pillars of eligibility.
Academic Excellence
- Minimum of six A1 grades total in the most recent term
- At least 3 A1s in Core Subjects (English, Maths, Science, Social Studies)
- At least 3 A1s in Elective Subjects specific to the student's programme track.
- Grades must be maintained each term for scholarship renewal
- Consistent academic upward trajectory preferred
Student Profile
- Female student currently enrolled at Keta Senior High Technical School
- Currently in Form 1 or Form 2
- From a low-income family background, verified during the application process
- Demonstrated disciplined attendance record, minimal unexcused absences
- Strong character reference from a current teacher
Commitment & Service
- Willingness to serve as academic tutor to junior students
- Active engagement in community or voluntary service
- Membership in the Sankofa Club for a minimum of 3 years
- Participation in mentorship workshops and career planning sessions
- Completion and commitment to a Personal Life Plan
Monitoring & Renewal
- Scholars undergo Interim Reviews each term
- Full Annual Evaluation at the end of each academic year
- Minimum of six A1s must be maintained to retain the scholarship
- Foundation provides timely academic support where performance slips
- Reports submitted by the School Liaison Officer each term
A Note on Support
We understand that academic performance can fluctuate. If a scholar faces difficulty meeting renewal criteria, the Foundation does not immediately withdraw support. Instead, we first provide additional tutoring resources, connect the scholar with a mentor, and work closely with the school liaison to understand and address root causes. Our goal is to see every scholar succeed, the monitoring process exists to support, not to punish.

A letter from a current teacher attesting to character and academic standing

A written plan outlining the applicant's academic goals, values, and vision for her future
Valid IDs
School-issued ID and one government-issued identification document
Prepare Documents
Gather your transcripts, IDs, recommendation letter, and Personal Life Plan.
Submit Application
Send your application to the designated email or portal.
Verification
School liaison officer verifies your details and academic standing.
Review & Selection
Independent committee reviews applications and selects 6 recipients.
Ready to start?
Applications are openly invited from qualified students in Science, Business, and General Arts.
